Easy Guide

Easy Solitaire for Seniors

A slower, clearer way to play Klondike Solitaire with large cards and no timer pressure.

Start With One Move

The goal is to move all cards to the four home piles at the top right, starting with the Aces and building each suit up to the King. However, you do not need to rush or solve it in record time.

Start by simply looking at the board. Are there any Aces you can move up? Are there any obvious moves, like placing a red 7 onto a black 8? Draw a single card from the deck and see if it fits anywhere. Taking it one deliberate move at a time is the best way to enjoy the game without feeling overwhelmed.

A Great Exercise for the Brain

Playing Solitaire isn't just a way to pass the time; it's a gentle, highly effective cognitive exercise. It encourages pattern recognition, strategic planning, and short-term memory usage. Because our version has no timer and no aggressive pop-up ads, it provides a safe, calming environment to keep the mind sharp.

Simple move rules

  • Build columns downward: 9 goes on 10, 8 goes on 9.
  • Alternate colors in the columns: red on black, black on red.
  • Only kings can start empty columns.
  • Aces start the home piles.

When you get stuck

Everyone gets stuck sometimes—it's mathematically impossible to win every game of Klondike! If you can't spot your next move, don't worry.

Simply tap the Show Move button for a gentle, highlighted suggestion. If you make a move and immediately regret it, the Undo button lets you step back as many times as you want. The game is designed to be forgiving, allowing for relaxed practice and experimentation.

Use the Senior-Friendly Version

Solitaire for Seniors starts with a calmer setup: Giant cards, High Contrast, Quiet Mode, tap controls, and no timer.
